In combi mode it goes crazy, notes trigger at random and the notes you press don't trigger at all.

I know what you mean about it playing only C5 mine did that before i installed the actual driver. Select that and follow steps from before. Then in FL Midi options the m3 came up as M3 1 Sound. There's a "korg usb midi driver" folder in your Program files folder, i ran the file that says ezsetup. I did that first and in my Midi options in FL Studio my m3 came up as usb audio.

Make sure you install the actual korg driver not just the driver tools. I installed the driver and i got it to work it acts funny though. I never try'd this because i have an M-Audio asio soundcard, and i allways used MIDI cables not usb. Posted: Tue 7:45 am Post subject: I think I got it When I click my mouse on any key in channel settings, the M3 does play them back. When I look at the Chennel Settings and I play the M3 the only key that I can see there that actually responds to what I'm playing on the M3 is C5. One problem remaining is that the only key that actually gets recorded is C5, all other keys are detected but not recorded. I followed your instructions and now I am able to get the MIDI box in the top left corner to display keys I press on the M3. If so, click on the channels tab and select MIDI OUT set the channel number to what ever you need it to be, and the port number to 5 or whatever you set it to.

If the korg drivers are installed properly and working right you should be able to hit any key on on the m3 and see the little MIDI box in the top left light up. If you see your korg midi driver in the Input and output fields select them.įor output select master sync, and in the Port Number field to the right set it to any number 5 for example.įor Input field select Enable controller.

In FL go to the options tab or press F10 to get to MIDI options. This may not solve your problem but it might help. The problem I am having is that I cannot setup the whole thing to record my key press while playing the M3

I also tried loading the Template for FL Studio that I download from Korg, but that does not seem to setup settings correctly at all When I add notes to the Piano Roll, or play the piano roll by clicking on the individual keys, I can hear it sending MIDI to the M3ĥ. When I press keys on the M3 I can see the FL Studio detecting the key press as it shows notes being played, however the Channel settings keyboard does not detect that, therefore I cannot record anythingĤ. When I add the VST plugin to my project, I am able to play the M3 usting the plugin editor but not when I actually play the keyboard because the Local Control gets turned offģ. I was able to succesfully install the M3 Plugin Editor VST, I am using USBĢ.

I just purchased the FL Studio and my goal is to use FL Studio's sequencer and use the M3 to input MIDI to be recorded in the FL sequencer and than played back on the M3.Īfter many hours of trying to get the setup to work I was only able to get this working partially and at this point I'm stuck as there are issues I cannot understand and overcome.ġ.
